Players reports from camps 2010
Smash Camp
Hazel Wilson, Inverness
The camp was absolutely FABULOUS!!! This year was my second time at the camp and I had the time of my life! The coaches were so much fun and have helped me improve my badminton in loads of ways. The run in the morning was hard but was a good laugh. I have made so many new friends from different places/countries and hopefully I will meet them all back at the camp next year! Thanks Julie, Craig, Russell and Jill for such an amazing time!
Junior Elite
When I arrived at the camp at 10:45, I was thinking ‘oh boy, this is going to be tough’. The first session wasn’t as bad as I neither feared, nor was the second and neither was the third. In fact the first day went pretty well. I’d settled into the room and was getting on with my roommates.
Then Day 2 started. With a thirty minute run. My legs were in agony for the rest of the camp and it didn’t help when we did bunny jumps for a warm up in the next session.
However, despite all the cramp, the camp was very enjoyable. The food was good, the coaches were fantastic, especially when ferrying us between sports centres. The mini competition between Russell and Craig was brilliant and, even although my team (Russell’s) eventually lost, it was lots of fun.
I would definitely like to go to the camp again.

Junior Elite & Elite
Euan Watson (Lanark)
Junior Elite and Elite camp was brilliant. The food was great, the coaches were great and the training was great. The only thing harder than the training was my bed! Overall the camp was fun and well worth attending.’
